Color-spattered canvas to one side
And wine-tasted bitterness before the eyes.
Greed beg, entrapment of freedom;
Singularity will forthcome no merit,
The infedility-remorse imagined
Prior to here.

One letter was left behind,
Within the binds of a bloodied book.
Tale of trash and rats and sewers -
It's true, one letter left behind,
Blue on white and lines of lead
Lead marching up and down lines of red
With hidden hopes and looping hiddens
That leap from folded pages
Of the lead- and red-fed lines.

Paint the canvas and leave the white
Of a dirty copper departure, midnight high.
There are no real images for to
Properly color your stark descent,
And nothing truthful or dishonest about
The shedding of tears.

The drawing is an old one. It seemed to fit.

I feel like I'm fading.

nothing more to say....your words always leave me speechless, i've read this 3 times already and still don't know what to say...very moving and as always your thoughts flow seemingly easily although i know that's not the case.

It's ok to be angry and never let go,
It only gets harder the more that you know.

Calm... and effective in total embitterment. I am seeing a correlation between my life (as the narrator) and the painting of that picture.

Splash the paint on, and leave the white.

The infedility-remorse imagined
Prior to here.
- is that -- only imagined prior and now made real?

mmm - Greed beg a type of begging - one where the unsated plead for more? Well it fits so let me enjoy it. :)

folded pages - like hidden notes passed.

There are no real images for to
Properly color your stark descent,
Nothing is as your fall... even the roman empire was more noble at its end!!

And my favourite: And nothing truthful or dishonest about
The shedding of tears.

I first read this as nothing truthful N or dishonest.. but am wrong... the or is good.
ALSO: thinking of crocodile tears.. a lure... an emotional ambush.

This is fantastic. A refreshingly new piece; bitter-sweet.

This is really good. Not only does it flow, it carries so much meaning. I love the ending too. :)

What a great opening with the lines:

'Color-spattered canvas to one side
And wine-tasted bitterness before the eyes.'

The poem's poignant, deeply resentful but magical tune to it... It's read, tastes as 'wine-tested bitterness' which sums up the heart of the beautufuly told story...

Cheers..!
